HOW TO PLAY
THE SETUP

Shuffle the Zombie cards into the Zombie Deck and place it face down on the table.

Shuffle the remaining cards (Corpse, Tomb, and Development cards) into the Main Deck and place it face down on the table.

Deal 5 cards from the Main Deck to each player.

Determine the first player by deciding who has seen a cemetery most recently.
-
Play proceeds in a clockwise order.

First Player starts his turn.

GAMEPLAY
HOW THE GAME PROGRESSES
The game is played in Rounds, each round is played in Turns, and each Turn has 3 Phases:
RESOLUTION PHASE
1

First, deal with any Bad Developments.
- You MUST fulfil their request -

Next, handle any Good Developments.
- You MAY skip Good Developments -

Finally, handle any active Tombs (those at burial level 2.)
Handle all cards visible in your cemetery that state "At the beginning of your turn" in any order you please.
- You MAY skip their Bonus -
These are not actions so you cannot actively play any cards from your hand.
ACTION PHASE

During your Turn, you can do 1 to 3 actions. You can perform the same action more than once.
Here are your options:​
Bury Corpses: Use Tomb cards to bury Corpse cards and get Victory Points.
​Play Card’s Ability: Use a card's special ability, playing the cards from your hand and after perform the action as described, throw the card away.​
Play Developments: Add Development cards by place them from your hand to the chosen cemetery.
ADJUSTMENT PHASE

Check if any cards in your cemetery say:
"At the end of your turn" and follow the instructions if you choose to.
- No discard phase is otherwise allowed -

If you have less than 5 cards in your hand:

​Draw until you have 5.

If you have more than 10 cards in your hand:

Discard until you have 10.

SKIP THE TURN

Remember that you can SKIP all your actions and draw 3 cards instead.
- In this case you can't use any Tombs bonus -

Winning the Game
The game ends when at the end of any round,
a player has five sealed tombs in his cemetery.

1. Discard Unsealed Tombs and Corpses.
​
2. Reveal all the Corpses in your cemetery and sum their Values.
​
3. Subtract the Value of any Zombie in your cemetery.
- Do not consider Tomb's Value -
GAME EXAMPLES
THE ESSENTIALS OF THE GAMEPLAY
You can Perform 3 Actions each Turn. Every Action is performed by playing a card from your hand.
You can perform the same Action more than ones.

Bury a Corpse
To Bury a Corpse simply use a Tomb card from your hand and place it Face Up on your Cemetery, then place a Corpse card Face Down on top of it at burial level 1. (covering burial level 2 and 3).
This count as 1 Action.

You can have only one Unsealed Tomb of the same Value in your cemetery.​

Dig Down or Up
You can DIG only unsealed tombs.
You can DIG UP or DOWN in any Cemetery.

To Dig a Corpse play from your hand a card that says: "DIG +... UP or DOWN"
You perform a DIG DOWN action by sliding the Corpse card Down.
Dig DOWN a Corpse in a Cemetery to Seal the Tomb and get the Victory points from the Corpse buried in it.
You perform a DIG UP action by sliding the Corpse card Up.
Dig UP a Corpse in a Cemetery to Exhume it and possibly arise a Zombie in that Cemetery.

Once a tomb is sealed no further DIG actions can be performed on it.​

"Stop an opponent from digging...." cards prevent Dig actions.

​Tomb's Bonus is active at Burial Level 2 and it isn't at Burial Level 1 or 3.
-
When you Dig UP a Corpse from its level 1 you Exhume it.

STOP DIGGING
In case an Opponent is Performing a DIG UP action on your Cemetery, you can Stop him by playing The Runner - Stop an opponent from digging in YOUR Cemetery -
You can also stop someone from DIG DOWN in their own Cemetery by playing the Electrician - Stop an opponent from diggin in ANY Cemetery -
The Runner and The Electrician are the only cards that can be played outside of your Turn to Stop an opponent from Digging.

NOTE:
"Stop an opponent from digging..." CANNOT be stopped by playing another "Stop an opponent from digging..."

EXHUMATION
Digging UP a Corpse at Burial Level 1, exhumes it.
​
When exhumed, check the Corpse and Tomb Value:
If the Corpse's Value is higher than the Tomb's Value draw a Zombie card, place it face up in the Cemetery and discard both cards.
If the Corpse's Value is equal or lower than the Tombs Value, simply discard both cards; no Zombie will be arisen in this case.
The King exhumes a sealed corpse and it CANNOT be stopped by any Card or Bonus.

Play a Development
From you hand use the chosen Development cards and put it face up in ANY Cemetery.
The Development is now Active.
You can only have one Good (Green) and one Bad (Red) Development Card Active at the same time per Cemetery.
BAD Developments can only be destroyed.
GOOD Developments can be destroyed, stolen, or replaced by playing a new Good Development from your hand, discarding the one already in play.

During the "Resolution Phase," ignore BAD developments if they can't be satisfied.

Play card's ability
All cards except Zombies have an ability.
​
You can only activate abilities from cards in your hand; perform the action as described and discard the card.
​
You can perform the same action more than once.
